Cookies
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The short version: we set six cookies, none of them tracks you, and none belongs to a third party. That is why you will never see a consent banner here.
Why we do not ask for your consent
The law requires consent for cookies that are not necessary — the ones that measure, profile or advertise. We set none of those.
Everything we set is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for: to keep you signed in and to show the screens in your language. For those, the law does not require consent.
A banner asking consent for cookies that do not exist protects nobody. It merely trains people to click Accept without reading.
The cookies we set
teach_at keeps your session active. It lives for a few minutes and is renewed while you work.
teach_rt lets you stay signed in without retyping your password on every screen. It lives for a few days and is cleared when you sign out.
teach_school remembers which school you are working in, if you belong to more than one. It lives for a month.
teach_year remembers which academic year you are looking at. It is a display preference, lives for a month and is cleared when you sign out.
teach_branch remembers which of the school's branches you are looking at, if it has more than one. It is a display preference, lives for a month and is cleared when you sign out or switch school.
teach_locale remembers your language. It lives for a year and survives signing out — so that an English speaker who signed out sees an English sign-in screen next time, not a Greek one.
All six are readable only by our server. No JavaScript inside the browser reads them, not even ours. They travel only to our own site.
What we do not set
Advertising or retargeting cookies.
Statistics, traffic measurement or behaviour analysis cookies. We measure traffic without cookies, with our own tool on our own server: how many people saw each page and where they came from, in total. The page address is sent without names or numbers in it, and its title is not sent at all.
Third-party cookies. No company other than us puts anything in your browser from here.
We load no external fonts, maps, videos or social buttons — which is the most common way a site shares its visitors without saying so.
We do not use device fingerprinting to recognise you. To count unique visitors, the statistics tool derives a code from your IP address and browser that cannot be reversed and changes every day. The IP address is not stored, and the next day we cannot tell it was you.
What else is stored in the browser
Beyond cookies, the application keeps no personal data in your browser's local storage.
The browser itself may hold temporary files of the page for speed. It does that on its own, we do not control it, and it is cleared from the browser's settings.
You can clear them
From your browser's settings, whenever you like, without asking us.
If you clear the session ones, you will simply need to sign in again. If you clear the language one, the page will start in Greek.
If you block them entirely, signing in will not work — not by our choice, but because there is no way to remember you from one screen to the next.
Changes to this page
If we add a cookie, it will be written here before it is set. If we ever need a cookie that is not necessary, we will ask for your consent first.
